Our story.

The idea of ForgeX Finance started in December of 2025, when the founder was debating with a friend about whether school teaches real-life skills, especially around personal finance. This issue bugged her since she felt like this was something essential that should be taught to everyone, except it wasn't.

After spending a few months educating herself around business and financial literacy concepts, she pitched her idea to Dunbar Community Centre in April of 2026. Within a month, she began running workshops at the community centre and ForgeX Finance got its own program for running weekly formal courses.

Our courses are designed and led by youth instructors who understand how to make financial concepts engaging and relevant for kids.

We teach practical money skills — budgeting, saving, entrepreneurship — that schools don't cover but every child needs before entering the real world.

Rooted in Vancouver, we partner with local community centres to make financial education accessible to every family, completely free of charge.
